Conservatory of Flowers: Free Admission Day


Whether you’re a native San Franciscan, a visitor from the other side of the world, or a classroom of budding botanists, the Conservatory of Flowers offers an intimate up-close experience with over 1,700 species of rare, exotic and endangered plants from more than 50 different countries.
Opened in 1879, the wood and glass greenhouse is the oldest existing conservatory of its kind in the Western Hemisphere.
  • Normally $7, the Conservatory is free to all visitors on the first Tuesday of every month.
  • Hours: 10 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. (Last entry is at 4:00 p.m).
